With more than twenty years of teaching experience, Julia Shealy brings a unique combination of classroom expertise, subject knowledge, and a passion for helping students discover their strengths.

After transitioning from full-time classroom teaching in 2023, Julia began focusing on individualized academic coaching and subject support. She works with students to identify challenges, develop practical strategies, prioritize responsibilities, and build the confidence needed to advocate for themselves.

Julia holds a B.A. in French and teaching certification from Davidson College, as well as a Master’s degree and ABD in Romance Languages from the University of Georgia. Her teaching experience includes public and private schools, university-level instruction, and international education.

From her first tutoring business as a high school student to her current work with students across the Lowcountry, Julia has always been passionate about helping young people reach their potential.

Julia lives in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, with her husband, their labradoodle, and Maine Coon cat. She is the proud mom of two grown boys and in her free time enjoys travel, photography, and art.
